Functions of Taphole Sleeve Brick Replacement Machine

I. Breaking, Removal & Cleaning of Worn Sleeve Bricks

Adopt hydraulic impact rotary drilling & reaming to break worn sleeve bricks, residual steel nodules and tapping mud sintered and cracked by molten steel and slag.

Push crushed waste bricks, cold steel and slag blocks entirely out of the taphole passage.

Blow and clean residual debris on the inner wall of the hole, repair deformed, eccentric and flared hole walls to restore a standard straight circular passage.

II. Precise Positioning, Installation and Compression of New Sleeve Bricks

The hydraulic clamping mechanism grabs new sleeve bricks and feeds them accurately coaxially into the inner cavity of the taphole seating brick.

Uniform axial compression ensures tight fit and perfect concentricity between sleeve bricks and seating bricks, eliminating risks of steel penetration, leakage and breakout through gaps.
