AOD (Argon Oxygen Decarburization) is a vacuum oxygen-blowing decarburization refining device mainly used for stainless steel refining. It is equipped with a top lance on the vacuum tank cover of the VD furnace, through which oxygen is blown onto the molten steel surface in the vacuum tank. It conducts decarburization and chromium retention refining on chromium-containing molten steel under vacuum conditions, and can also be used for smelting ultra-low carbon steel.
