This is an automatic cleaning device specially designed for removing high-temperature, quasi-liquid sticky slag at EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) and EBT (Eccentric Bottom Tapping) stations.
It removes 800–1200℃ semi-solid and sticky hot slag from the inner wall, gaps and passages of the EBT tapping hole. It prevents slag nodulation and blockage, ensures a high success rate of automatic hole opening for the next heat, reduces manual oxygen blowing and hole poking, and effectively protects furnace refractory materials.
After tapping, the machine cleans residual quasi-liquid sticky slag on the furnace bottom and slope. It avoids slag accumulation that affects steel & slag retaining and slag-free tapping processes, improves the attachment condition of furnace bottom refractories, and extends the furnace service life.
Equipped with remote control operation, it keeps operators away from high-temperature zones over 1000℃. It eliminates traditional safety risks including slag splashing, scalds and gas poisoning during manual slag cleaning.
It shortens the slag cleaning time from 15–20 minutes per furnace to 3–5 minutes per furnace. It reduces refractory loss and oxygen consumption, and effectively improves the overall operation rate of electric arc furnaces.
