In metallurgical steelmaking and furnace applications, it performs hot & cold gunning, repairing, thickening and leveling of refractory linings on high-temperature equipment such as ladles, converters, RH snorkels and rotary kilns. It extends lining service life, cuts downtime and reduces refractory material consumption.
It sprays refractory gunning materials (magnesia, alumina-magnesia, etc.) at high pressure onto worn, spalled and eroded areas of inner walls of ladles, converters, electric furnaces, RH vacuum vessels and snorkels.
Online hot gunning is available at 800–1400℃ without full cooling, cutting downtime by over 70%.
Workpieces like ladles and snorkels are placed on the rotating table. Combined with multi-directional spray guns, it delivers uniform gunning layers without blind spots.
It solves common defects of manual operation including uneven thickness, missing spray areas and low adhesion rate (less than 25% for overhead positions).
The repaired lining features high density and excellent erosion resistance, with service life increased by 20–30%.
It lowers the frequency of overall lining replacement and saves costs on refractory materials, labor and production halt.
Ladle: Overall & partial lining gunning, joint leveling
Converter / Electric furnace: Repair for furnace wall, hearth and tapping hole
RH snorkel: Hot gunning and repairing after deslagging for inner and outer walls
Cement kiln / Heating furnace: Repair of thermal insulation and refractory layers
Equipped with PLC and remote control system. The spray gun realizes automatic lifting, swinging and positioning, and the rotary table supports variable frequency speed regulation.
Operators are kept away from high-temperature zones, ensuring higher safety and lower labor intensity.
