I. Core Functions & Working Process

Drilling out the old lining:Under high temperature (approx. 1000℃), the impact-rotary carbide drill crushes and removes the eroded and slag-built old refractory bricks in the tap hole caused by molten steel and slag.

Trimming to standard hole profile:Precisely reams the hole to the designed inner diameter and coaxiality, ensuring tight installation of new thimble bricks and a regular tapping channel.

Rapid replacement of thimble bricks:After reaming, new tap hole thimble bricks are installed immediately to complete tap hole repair.

II. Key Functions (Core Problems Solved)

Ensuring production continuity:Replacing manual/oxygen lance cleaning, it completes reaming and brick replacement within 10 minutes, greatly reducing converter downtime for maintenance and improving operating rate.

Stabilizing tapping quality:Ensures consistent tap hole diameter, angle and coaxiality, stabilizes tapping flow rate and duration, reduces re-oxidation and slag entrapment of molten steel, and improves steel purity.
