It performs semi-dry gunning repair on EAF lining and EBT eccentric bottom tap hole refractory lining under high temperature without furnace shutdown and cooling. It conveys magnesia or magnesia-carbon gunning mixes, which are pressed onto damaged hot furnace surfaces under high pressure, sinter and solidify to repair eroded refractory layers.
Hot repair without shutdown & cooling: Repairs are completed in short intervals between heats. No full furnace cooling or long outage overhaul is required, greatly cutting downtime and energy consumption for reheating furnaces.
Extended service life of furnace lining & EBT tap hole: Periodic gunning repairs worn areas at slag line, furnace slope and tap hole. EBT service life rises from 100~150 heats to 220~300 heats, and overall furnace campaign life increases by over 30%.
Reduced refractory consumption: Partial in-situ repair replaces full lining brick replacement, cutting per-ton steel refractory cost by 15%~25%.
Stable tapping performance: Rectifies EBT issues including bore enlargement, steel leakage and slag infiltration, shortens tapping time, reduces molten steel temperature drop and stabilizes power & ferroalloy consumption during melting.
Improved operational safety: Long-distance flexible hose or manipulator gunning keeps operators away from over 1200℃ high-temperature molten steel and thermal radiation, preventing scalds and splashing accidents.
