Innovake
Its core functions are to efficiently and safely remove converter linings, maintain tap holes, and clean slag deposits on the furnace body, greatly replacing manual labor and shortening downtime.
I. Main Functions
Refractory Lining Removal (Core Function)
After a converter reaches the end of its campaign life, a hydraulic breaker is used to crush the old lining (magnesia-carbon bricks, castables), with a bucket/ripper to remove residual bricks and waste.
Enables precise removal of the full furnace lining or locally damaged areas, preparing for relining.
Tap Hole Maintenance and Replacement
Uses reamers/special drills to drill, ream, and shape the tap hole for smooth steel tapping.
Removes old tap hole sleeves and installs new magnesia-carbon tap hole bricks/guides.
Furnace Body and Slag Buildup Cleaning
Cleans high-temperature slag and accretions on the furnace mouth, cap, and wall, restoring geometry and permeability.
Clears blockages in key areas such as oxygen lance holes and sub-lance holes to ensure normal operation.
Auxiliary Lining and Hot Maintenance
Assists in replacing magnesia-carbon bricks and repairing local damage under hot conditions.
Supports rapid replacement of key components such as bottom-blowing permeable bricks.
II. Typical Application Scenarios
Regular Overhaul/Medium Maintenance of Steelmaking Converters
Applicable furnaces: mainstream 30–300 ton converters (commonly below 120 tons).
Operations: full lining removal → new lining installation → tap hole replacement → furnace mouth cleaning.
Value: reduces traditional manual dismantling from days to hours, significantly improving converter turnover.
Rapid Hot/Semi-Hot Maintenance
Scenario: mid-campaign local lining erosion, tap hole failure, severe slag buildup.
Feature: high-temperature radiation (approx. 900°C) inside the furnace; machines must be heat-resistant and quickly positioned.
Purpose: local repair and slag cleaning without full overhaul for fast production recovery.
Refractory Lining Removal for Ladles/Torpedo Cars (Extended Applications)
With quick-change attachments, used for lining removal and slag cleaning of large ladles (below 320 tons), torpedo cars, and iron ladles.
Maintenance of Special Metallurgical Furnaces
Some models used for refractory removal and slag cleaning in electric arc furnaces, refining furnaces, and other metallurgical furnaces.
III. Working Environment & Equipment Features
Environment: high temperature, high dust, strong radiation, narrow space, harsh working conditions.
Equipment: fully hydraulic, crawler, multi-degree-of-freedom telescopic boom; configurable with breakers, rippers, reamers and other quick-change attachments for multi-purpose use.
